Karen Mooney's (aka Angel) "Happy Valentine's Day"
© 2003 Karen Mooney

Together we will sail that ocean blue
Forget all the pain we've been through
Enjoy a Valentine's day all alone
We don't have to worry about the telephone
You don't have to say you'll be mine
If you hold me, that will be fine
Feel the beat of my heart next to you
Then look into these eyes of blue
Kiss me once, so that you can feel
The love, I know that is real
Then just hold me ever so near
Get lost in the beauty, not in the fear

And when you get tired and feel the strain
With the oil, I will rub out the pain
Caress your body until you start to glow
No hurry now, we will take it all slow

And for desert, I will feed to you
Strawberries in a chocolate fondue
Kissing the excess off of your lips
Making sure that there is no tiny slip

Then we can catch the sunrise in splendid hue
After watching the stars, the whole night through
Being together living a dream
Watching the sunrise, near a quiet stream

Then when we tire, there's a bed made for two
In a darkened room, with a soft hint of blue
Satin sheets and pillows to match
I wonder what dreams are waiting to hatch
