Footsteps, 
On the deck, 
Nothing left, 
No more games, 
None to play, 
No way out, 
You're here to stay, 
Run away, 
Into the night, 
Hide and Seek, 
You're still in sight,

Pitter-patter 
Footsteps, 
In and out, 
Make a bet, 
Swing up high, 
No net below, 
Sing a song, 
You can't outgrow, 
Find a key, 
Lock up your mind, 
Forget the ones, 
You've left behind,

Pitter-patter, 
Footsteps, 
Life is hard, 
There are regrets, 
The end is here, 
It's over now, 
Your time is up, 
You broke your vow, 
Place a blade, 
Upon your skin, 
There's nothing for, 
Your next of kin,

Pitter-Patter 
Footsteps, 
Death is slow, 
He's not here yet, 
Body's frail, 
The ground is red, 
Have a drink, 
To clear your head, 
Unlocked your mind, 
Remembrance day, 
Can't hold on, 
You slip away
