I find within the rolling sea,
The darkness of humanity,
The waves cascade with crests blood red,
Each drop another victim's head,
A soul drowned in the undertow,
Of sorrow, pain, depression and woe,
A wave swells up in the moonlit night,
And crashes back down, impossible to fight,
A whirlpool for all society's sins,
A tidal wave forms when a nation's hope dims,
Typhoon's run strong when governments fail,
Hurricanes rage under war's black veil,
And peace at last comes with the tides,
Along the still waters humanity glides,
Between torrent and calm the pendulum swings,
And all the while the rolling sea sings....
