Snippets of childhood
captured on film,
preserved with loving care
and placed in albums
as if a shrine to the past
 
I visit them from time to time,
and with each visitation
more memories come to mind
Easter sunday services at the church,
opening presents on Christmas morn
quips and stories once shared,
and the laughter of family and friends
 
Some have already passed
and their presence sorely missed
but with the help of Kodachrome
they are visited again
and with each visitation,
the memories remain alive
