You can fake it till you make it
You can make it if you try,
You can take it or forsake it
And not know the reason why.

You can fill your life with sunshine
You can smile at life's unseen
You can will your mind to meet mine
And create a peaceful scene.

You can love yourself and others
You can try to help the poor
If you shove aside your brothers,
Pray for forgiveness evermore.

You can steer yourself to do your best
You can strive for better things
You can hear the cry of God's own test
And receive comfort that it brings.

Though you can't be everything to everyone
To your own self you can be true,
You can mean something special to someone
And receive graces you are due.

You can work with all your might
To separate the good from bad
You can't shirk the right to fight
For all the blessings you have had.
