A trumpet will sound
A gate will appear
A place, this place
Is here waiting to be seen

Streets paved with gold
Jewels with colors
Never before seen
A crown with my story
A book that knows all about me

A king I have never seen
A king, I was made in the image of
When I am in his presence---
Will I be able to look upon him?
Will I bow at his feet in humility?

Will I see all that have passed?
Will I know them and will they know me?
Kissing & hugging, dancing in circles with glee?
Will we be spirits without bodies
Or heavenly forms composed of our spirit?

Arch Angels
Musical Angels
Guardian Angels
Will they look like me?
Like a painting someone drew?
Or will they be something else?
Astounding, awesome & new

There is this place and it’s waiting for me
Sometimes I get to thinking
I feel so happy and excited
To see a King
His only son
His angels
His beautiful city
A place so perfect
Composed of all that is good
Patiently waiting to receive
You & me…..
