Tony Largaespada's "Moved"
© 2003 Tony Largaespada
Pristine glacier carved lakes
Old growth coastal forests
No, a secluded Cove
I seek an intimate wilderness experience
One that includes a delectable species
An eternal beauty
You
In an oasis of calm
Surrounded by darkened waters
Wrapped in mist
Breathing deeply of ethereal air
I become one with the vigorous life before me
Awash in a lazy calm
Quite sedate
Broken only by occasional frolicking
Inventing ingenious solutions to physical needs
Pushing past your fluid boundary
Mesmerized by your graceful arching curves
Moving to the rhythms of the wind and waves
Blood rushing like a furious wind
Deafening to my ears
Muscles pulling tight
Protesting under the strain
Quiet solitude broken by groans
Our voices a festive chorus echoing off the steep walled fjord
Our souls mingle in your spirit house
Awed by the power of our nature
Heaven and Earth
Divided by a billion stars
So close we dance in them together
Then bathe in the northern lights
A rewarding and nourishing experience
Moving us to stillness
Like snow laden boughs
In a ravaged spruce forest
