Lanaia Lee's "Lady On Horseback"
© 2004 by Lanaia Lee
I go to the meadow about the same time every day
Always trying to catch a glimpse of her
The lady on the white horse, I come here to see you without delay
From you I would never deter.

Out here in vast nature I wait for your debut.
I am going to try to muster up the courage to talk to you
I want to find out, mysterious lady, what you are all about
It is still so early I still see the morning dew.

You are so attractive and beautiful
Long dark hair, skin Lilly white, your dress blowing in the wind
All these faculties make you so beautiful
If my heart could fly to you to you it I would send.

I see you are slowly coming toward me
Hoping and praying I know just the right thing to say
As you descend closer I am as nervous as can be
Just to talk to you will make me so happy and gay.

You are so close now I could reach out and touch you
You smile at me with a mystical strange kind of smile, see
I have everything in my mind I want to say to you
Right before my eyes you disappear now I feel like I want to flee.
