Sitting on this lonely beach
I sent the wind a message
Can you take this kiss from me
And deliver it to Texas?


Place it softly on his face
Because I miss him so
Let him know he's with me
Wherever I may go.


Let him know I think of him
With every waking thought
And all the things I dream for us
Are of things that can't be bought.


Whisper sweetly in his ear
When you catch him fast asleep
Tell him that I love him so
My heart is his to keep.


So until I can be with him
Can you carry him my message?
Tell him I send this kiss and all my love
Only to him, in Texas.
