thirty plus six
three dozen
12-l3-00 was
36 years
my mom has
watched us from above
two decades ago,
an election so
close, Congress
voted the winner
thirty six ballots
they caressed their pen
to their choice
thirty and six days
after election 2000
the first millennium polls
bathed the country a winner
we’ll regroup
we’ll heal, we’ll mend
we’ll ameliorate
reprioritize and support
George W. Bush
the son of the 41st president
as leader of America
