Mark Young "A Promise Made"
© 2003-2004 Mark Young
My wife has beauty, she'll deny.
She blames reflection by n by.

Beyond the face and lovely smile.
The heart within shall see no trial.

I love her sense that things shall change.
that sad times now shall not remain.

She faces life like each new day.
sun up, sun down a gift each way.

The gift of standing by her side, and knowing that she cares.
Will always leave me with a sense that nothing quite compares.

My own heart never near as red, I can not change the past.
But with the days ahead of me perhaps they'll heal at last.

A promise to be kinder still, a love with boundless bond.
shall be my lasting promise now, tomorrow and beyond.
