Jennifer Stanley "Is It Still Love"
© 2000-2004 Jennifer Stanley
I don't know why
I got mad at you the other day.
I don't know what was with me.
I am sorry.
I thought you were mad at me
because everybody knew about us.
I am sorry that we didn't talk about it.
I was really scared to talk about it
with you.
I just couldn't face you.
I promise myself to talk to you
but when I phoned you weren't there;
then there was nothing that I could do.
When I thought about it,
I thought that every relationship;
Need to talk to each other
and resolve any problems they might have.
I was scared because I thought that
you didn't like me anymore
and maybe your feelings changed.
Every night, I think
about us two getting married
even though I never told you, I
know that we are too young.
Always thinking of having kids
and that you would be a good husband and
a very good father for our children
and I would be your wife and always by your side
and also a good mom.
I never told you this
because I didn't know how you would take it.
I know it's a "complex" subject to talk about
at the age of 14.
I always thought to get married at the age of 20
but I know that is something that will never happen
because we will be going down different pathways.
I know deep in my heart
that you are the only one for me
and that there is not going to be
another man,
because I already found the one.
I just want to be with you.
I will strive on hard
to make my biggest dream come true.
