Singleton Tate's "Heavy Rains Turn Into Rainbows"
© 1998-2004 Singleton Tate
Rain, falling so heavily in my life, at any given moment, for no apparent reason.

It swells, like the overflowing rivers, I try, to encourage it to stop.
recurring, drop after drop, after drop.

It’s plentiful, yet cold, draining my emotions, darkening my soul.
“Let me out, I say, I’ll drown in here,” going back in time, year after year.

For in the rain, is time long past, when I struggled, to believe,
that this, wouldn’t last. The rain, comes and goes and lurks,
you see, always stealing pieces, of our sanity.

The rain, is the tears, that fall from your eyes, when your heart, is destroyed,
severely inside. Taken out, by surprise, blinded by love, the rivers of tears,
turn into, a flood. Gripping the mind, replaying the scenes, of bad relationships,
abandoned dreams. Each one, still fresh in the mind, rewinding,
time, after time, after time.

Stopping the rain, sounds easy, but there’s a catch 22, deceitful lies, will
manipulate you. What you see, is never, really what you get. Fairytale, short
lived, insanity, woeful; regret. The rain, always finding, a way in, flooding
my heart and soul, once again.

The tears, that swell up, in the wells, of my eyes, make me stronger, more
willing than ever, to survive. To strive, for the laughter, that I know, lies
within, it’s been snuffed out, by some, very crude men. The rivers, will not
run, its course, too long. The wells, have been stunted, by some, beautiful songs.
That ring out, from the heart, so loud and distinctively, clear.

Never, give up, on love, it’s potential and always be aware, of the danger, that
could be, coming your way, to steal your heart, on any given day. Then, the
rains, will darken, your door, sucking, your life’s blood and always seeking,
much more.

What, starts the rains, and the flooding, of the soul? When we, as humans,
loose control, giving the power, to an incompetent, woman or man, enriching
their status, as best we can. Giving everything, right down, to the last drop,
then the rains, will never, ever stop, until you, get a grip, on your life and
be strong, and leave, that kind, of madness alone!!!

Find, the peace and love, that is, within yourself, blooming, gleaming and
spreading to someone else, that will appreciate and love, the caring, loving
individual, that god, has sent them, from above. The rains, turn into, tears of
joy, happiness, a bright rainbow of love, forever more!!!!**
