How do I upload my family history records to online databases?

1. Decide which names you want to place on the internet?

(Note: You should get permission from those individuals in your database who are still living to     include their names in the uploaded database.)

2. Create a GEDCOM file – each genealogy program has the capability to create a GEDCOM file

3. Select the databases you want to upload your records to?

    LDS/Family Search Data Bases:

      ? Pedigree Resource File (http://www.familysearch.org - click on “Share”)
      ? International Genealogical Index (IGI) – names submitted for LDS temple
          ordinances – use Temple Ready at FHC

    Other Online Data Bases:

      ? Rootsweb World Connect Project (http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com)
      ? Kindred Konnections (http://www.kindredkonnections.com – click on “Submit
          Family Tree” under “Free Member Services:”
      ? Genealogical GEDCOM Server System (http://www.genserv.com/gs/gensdata.htm)
      ? GenCircles (http://www.gencircles.com) – must register to upload GEDCOM
      ? Ancestry.com (http://www.ancestry.com/oft/awtupload.htm) – must register to upload
         GEDCOM
     ? Tribal Pages (http://www.tribalpages.com) – click on “Join Now” – must join
     ? Dave Wilkes’ Free GEDCOM Server (http://www.my-ged.com) – can be searched
         on GENDEX
     ? Zarahemla.com (http://www.zarahemla.com/roots/join.html)
