In 1851 he lived in Blackpool. He was an agricultural labourer. In 1861 she was living with her son John's family and was a stocking knitter. See Pearson for information on her family. Had:

(3) John Craven, c 4 OCT 1829, All Hallows, Bispham, Lancashire, ENG; d 8 JAN 1884; m 30 OCT 1858, All Hallows, Bispham, Lancashire, ENG, Emma Mellor (bc 1829 Darfield, Yorkshire, ENG; d 25 MAR 1892). Emma was the daughter of John Mellor, a school master. Richard Craven and Alice Bamber were witnesses to the marriage. He was referred to as a boatman, water maker and well maker. In 1851 he was listed as the unmarried head living with Mary, Richard, James, Rebecca and Elizabeth. In 1861 his brother James was living with him. They lived at: 10 Brunswick St, 2 Nelson Row Chapel St, Ibbison St, 4 Darwen Terr. Had:

Elizabeth was the daughter of Joseph Bell, a coal dealer. Robert Scott and Ellen Cornall witnessed first marriage. He was known as "Old Tom". He was a fisherman according to his obituary. Had:

Eliza was the daughter of Joseph Shakespeare. In 1893 they lived at 18 Kay St. He was a boatman. John Atkinson and Damarius Shakespeare witnessed second marriage. Had:

(12) Elizabeth (Betsy) Craven, c 19 JAN 1845, All Hallows, Bispham, Lancashire, ENG; d 3 APR 1922; m 8 FEB 1869, All Hallows, Bispham, Lancashire, ENG, William Hesketh (bc 1840; d 6 OCT 1912) William was the son of Richard Wilson. In 1861 she was listed as a servant living in Robert Lund residence in Bispham. George Strickland and Margaret Wright witnessed marriage.
