Watson

Watsons are really a sept of Buchanan, but since there are such a large number of them, I felt that they deserved an entire section of their own. My databases on Watson genealogy is far too extensive to include it all here. However, feel free to send me a request for a search and I will happily do this free of charge. The Watson data here is limited to certain branches of the family, interesting Buchanan tidbits, and links to other Watson sites.

Watsons are believed to be a sept of Buchanan by blood. The extact descent is unknown, but is believed to have been derived from Walter Buchanan, allegedly from the Leny branch of Buchanans. Watson, Watts, Wattie, etc all are claimed to descend from the same Walter Buchanan.  This Walter allegedly had 9 sons, all who took variants of his given name of Walter.
