Peanut Brittle |
2 cups of sugar 2 cups of water 2 cups of white corn syrup 2 cups of raw peanuts 2 tablespoon butter*(not oleo) 1 teespoon soda Cook slowly to the soft crack(275 degrees)on candy thermometer stirring occasionally . Add Peanuts stirring constantly to hard crack (300 degrees) turn off heat,add butter stirring until melted ,add soda.Stirring vigersly in poor in 3 well buttered pizza pans, i like of the edge (You can use cookie sheet)then you want to stretch ( you can use tongs) i use butter knife and a fork ,stretch it thin let it cool then put in zip lock bags be very carefull is not to burn yourself,questions let me know. |
