Interrelationship of Prayer/Worship and a Vision for the Nations
Luke wants it clear to his largely Gentile audience that Christ came for all the Nations, not only Jews. Remember that Luke also wrote Acts 1:8!

1,999,564,000 year end 2000.)

That's 4.2 Million per month.

That's 141,000 per day! 105,000 to 115,000 of them are in
China alone.

99 billion Hearer-hours per year in 1970 – 1,000 Billion in
mid-2001

1970 – 25 Billion evangelism hours/year ; mid-2001: 172 Billion

Disciple-making opportunities: 1970 – 27 ; 2001 – 163

Now 4100 Foreign Mission Sending Agencies Worldwide

North America no longer sends the most missionaries. In
2001 N.A. has 672 mission agencies sending 71,088 missionaries
worldwide. The rest of the world now has 1887 mission agencies
sending 130,840 missionaries worldwide. North America receives 3008
foreign missionaries currently.

70% of progress in world evangelization has been accomplished
since 1900.
•
70% of that progress has been accomplished since 1950.
•
70% of that progress has been accomplished since 1985.
•
70% of that progress has been accomplished since 1999.
•
SCANDAL! Over 70% of Christian ministry is to professing
Christians. Only 5% is to people who have never heard.
•
Less than 20% of missionaries currently serve in the 10/40
Window. That's doubled from 1995 when less than 10% served there.
