  1. AUTHORITY OF JESUS' TEACHING  (v. 32)
    2. Jesus' message has authority. If you are in Christ, you also have authority.

  2. AUTHORITY OF JESUS' PRESENCE (v. 34)
    3. The condition of the man in the synagogue was unknown until he encountered Jesus (James 2:19).  He was in the synagogue all his life, but when he encountered Jesus, healing came.

  3. AUTHORITY OF JESUS' COMMAND (v. 35)
    4. Jesus simple, severe command brings freedom.  Freedom comes through the victory of Jesus.

  4. AUTHORITY OF JESUS' RESPONSE (v. 36-41)

INVITATION:
