| 2.17.02 Kevin Smith, known best for his role as Ares, god of war, died yesterday the 16th of Febuary. Reports say he died due to fatal injuries after falling from a tower that was being used as a movie set. Reports say that it was not a set from the movie Kevin was filming, he was just visiting. Only one month before shooting "Man of War" with Bruce Willis, the Auckland native has many credits in working in theater and television. His best know role is most likely as Ares, God of War. He played the role on the series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, and Young Hercules. He is survived by his wife and childhood sweetheart, Suzanne, their three children, and his parents, Geoff and Yvonne. He was 38 years old and will be missed by fans around the world.
