The sweet, quiet, and surprising Trance is probably the best character on the show. Coming from unknow origin she has light purple skin that sparkles and a long purple tail.

Serving as the Andromeda's environmental systems expert and medic, Trance has surprised her crew more than once. On "Affirming Flame" she was shot to death and miraculasly came back to life. What exactly is Trance? Can't wait to find out.

Trance is naive but still strong. She sees goodness in many places you wouldn't expect to find it. Like the time she helped Dylan realize that an act he had commited in his past and was ashamed of had become the cornerstone for a better future. Or when she tried to save the lost robot messanger HG from his governing consensus, and them from himself. Above all, Trance seens to value life. She is a trusting caring friend and great addition to the Andromeda.

Now I have to say something about the tail. It is so cool. I never thought she would use it for violent, or even defensive purposes. They proved me wrong. She can whip that tail around and choke a grown man to unconciousness.

There is alot of unknown about Trance. Her age, her species, her place of birth, the reason she's purple.

Played stunningly by vetran child actress Laura Bertram, Trance is a promising character who seem to serve as not only a friend, but a concience of the crew.
