Just click the “Home” section on the menu to the left. On this page, find and click the small board titled “How do I get into the GHTalk Chat Room.” Read what is said step by step. If you still have problems entering, e-mail me!

5. Do I have to be a certain age to chat on the GHTalk Chat Room?
No, all ages are welcomed.

6. Is it free to chat on the GHTalk Chat Room?
Yes, it’s free of charge, this is for fun purposes only and I don’t intend on making any profit from it.

7. Are there any rules I must follow before chatting in the chat room?
Yes there are. Just click the “Home” section on the menu to the left. On this page, find and click the small board titled “GHTalk Chat Room Rules.” Please read these before entering the chat room. Thank you!

8. How do I register my nickname on the GHTalk Chat Room?
You first have to enter the GHTalk Chat Room with a nickname of your choice. Once you are in, you right click your name on the list to the right, and choose ‘Member Profile.’ Than you enter any password of your choice and you’re done. It’s then your choice if you want to fill in the rest.

9. Do I have to register my nickname in the GHTalk Chat Room?
No, it’s your choice if you want to register your nickname. You just won’t be able to do certain things like person to person chat with someone, or add a picture right beside your name, and this annoying reminder pops up every so often saying ‘that your name is not registered’ which can get a bit annoying at times. Basically, the purpose of registering your nickname is so that others won’t use your same nickname in the chat room. It’s up to you though.

10. What features can I use in the chat room?
Click the “Home” section on the menu to the left, and then find and click the small board on the right titled “GHTalk Chat Room Help?” This page will explain to you what all the buttons in the chat room do.

11. What time zone does this site follow?

12. I follow a different time zone than this site follows. How can I convert my time zone to the sites time zone?
Go to the “Home” section on the menu to the left. Scroll down to the box on the right called “Time Zone.” Click the link provided in that box. There you will find a time zone conversion chart where you can change your time zone to the eastern time zone.

13. How do I use the time zone conversion chart you have provided?
As you know, this site follows the Eastern Time Zone. On the chart, look under the heading “Eastern Standard” and point to the time you are looking for. Than, on that same line, move under the time zone you follow, and that’s the time.

14. Does this site have any information about the soap General Hospital?
Click “General Hospital” on the menu to the left. There you will find some information I have put together about the soap.

15. How do I know whether you have added something new or removed something from the site?
Go to the ‘Updates’ section on the menu to the left. Here I will inform you of any new things added to the site or a recap of how an event went if it was on the night before.

16. What are events on GHTalk?
Events are like small games or get-togethers on the GHTalk Chat Room. Each event is dedicated to something such as a character, or a couple, then we set up a date and time to have this event, and we have a discussion on it.

18. What is Trivia Night all about?

20. How do you determine who gets the point on Trivia Nights?
Who ever types in the correct answer first will be rewarded a point. You must make sure that you give me full answers so this way it is similar to my answers. I do this so those who write in a one word answer don’t automatically get the point where as someone that has a completed answer should. (Example: Question: What made Sam confess murder and arson to Ric? Guest1 says: threatening her (INCORRECT), Guest2 says: Ric threatened to go after Danny. (CORRECT!)

21. How come while we play Trivia Night, sometimes on my screen my answer appears first but on your screen it appears second?
Depending on some computer screens, people may get answers or comments from other people in the chat room more quickly or slowly. This is a problem that happens one or two times during trivia night which makes it hard for me to decide who gets the answer first. In these situations, I usually give the point to the person I see on MY screen that answered the question first. The cause of this may be of the speed your internet is going, or it just so happened that you may have pressed send at the same time another person did which jumbles the order.

22. Can I hold my own event on the GHTalk Chat Room?
Yes, you are welcome to create your very own event on GHTalk. For more information on how to do this, go to the ‘Events’ section on the menu to the left, and then click the title that reads “Host Your Own GH Event!”

23. Are there any specific times where people like to come online in the GHTalk chat room?
If you go to the ‘Calendar’ section on the menu to the left, on the calendar there is the word ‘common’ listed on some days, under is a time slot, that means during this duration you can expect more people to be online.

24. How come I never see anyone in the GHTalk chat room when I go online?
This is a very small site, and not many people know that it even exits. I also don’t have much time to advertise about the site every day, so that’s also the cause of the low amount of people that visit it each day. Besides that, there are still a bunch of people that do come but don’t have time to chat all day. So the chances of you meeting someone in the chat room at the same time your in it is very hard. This is why I created the ‘Just Post It Board’ on the menu to the left. That very small message board is for people to leave a message saying that you would like to meet with anyone to chat, even leaving a time and date, so that possibly someone will see it and will try to meet with you too. People visit the site many times throughout the week, so many people are likely to read your message and respond to it.

25. What is the ‘Just Post it Board?'
It’s a small message board for you and others to leave a message saying that you would like to meet with anyone to chat, even leaving a time and date, so that possibly someone will see it and will try to meet with you too. All you need to make sure is that you leave a date and a time, including the timezone you follow. People visit the site many times throughout the week, so many people are likely to read your message and respond. As you all already know, the GHTalk chat room is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so you are welcome to chat there anytime or day.

26. How do I leave a message on the ‘Just Post It Board?’
Simple, you just jot down your name and your message on the form provided in the small message board and click “send.” Your done! ‘Reset’ is there incase you want to erase everything you wrote. You also have one minute to delete your message after you clicked send by clicking the word [delete] at the bottom of your posted message.

27. What’s the purpose of signing up for the mailing list?
Many have told be that they forget about events and end of missing them. In this case, if you sign up for the mailing list, I will just send you a simple e-mail the day before the events informing you of the event that will be on the GHTalk Chat Room the day after. Basically a reminder e-mail.

First go to “Mailing List” on the menu to the left. Then follow those steps listed there.

29. How do I unsubscribe from the mailing list?
First go to “Mailing List” on the menu to the left. Scroll to the bottom of that page and it explains how to there.

30. What’s in the ‘GH Links’ section?
In this page there is a bunch of fabulous General Hospital related sites that I like visiting and that others recommend adding to the list.

Sure, as long as your site is General Hospital related, I will add it. Let me know by sending me an e-mail. I would also like though that you too add my link to your site if that’s not too much of a bother.

The guest book is where anyone who visited or chatted on GHTalk can sign and leave a message to let everyone know you were here.

34. What is the ‘GHTalk Guest Map?’
It’s a small map of the world where you can add a pin from where you live and leave a message to everyone on GHTalk. It’s to basically show the people across the world chat on GHTalk. For more information on this, go to the ‘Home’ section on the menu to the left, scroll down till you see a box on the right titled ‘GHTalk Guest Map.’ In that box, you will also find the link to the small guest map; you’re welcomed to leave your mark.

35. How can I pin my location and leave a message on the GHTalk Guest Map?
Go to the ‘Guestbook’ section on the menu to the left, and then click ‘Leave a message on the GHTalk Guest Map.’ Once the page opens up, exit that small information box by clicking ‘Hide Welcome Message.’ Then click ‘Post’ on the top left corner, mark your spot, and leave a message. There, you’re done, you are also free to read the messages other people may have left by just placing your mouse over the pins.

36. Where can I find the GH patches?
General Hospital Patches are little banners I have created on my spare time that people can post on their site if they have one. There located on the ‘General Hospital’ section on the menu to the left, under ‘GH Patches.’
