Our earliest known FERRIS was Eli Ferris, b. about 1819 in PA. (according to census, his father was b. in Connecicut) Eli married Nancy Jane Fitch Dec. 1, 1858 in Stark Co. IL. Their children were:
ISAAC JASPER FERRIS, b. 1859, m. Alice Rose Merriam Jan. 1, 1882 in Kossuth Co. IA.
SILAS MARTIN FERRIS, b. 1861 in PA
JAMES M. FERRIS, b. March, 1863 in PA
FREDONIA JENNETT FERRIS, b. 1868 in IA
BERT B. FERRIS, b. Oct. 1877 in IA
