How to read the census information:

Family members are grouped in the following manner: The first group of numbers represent males. The first position represents the number of males age 0 to under five. The second position represents the number of males age 5 to under 10. The 3rd position represents males 10 to 15. The 4th position represents the number of males 15 to 20. The 5th position represents the number of males 20 to 30. Each position after that increases in 10 year increments. The second group of numbers represents the numbers of females in the household in each age group.
EXAMPLE: GLASS, JAMES, 169 --- 20001 - 00001
In the above example, in the James Glass household, listed on page 169 of the census, there were 2 males under 5 years, 1 male age between 20 and 30, and 1 female between 20 and 30 years of age.
