Eighty Sixed Ok here it is, one lonely night a couple of friends were bored out of their minds with nothing to do. They decided to take a drive and listen to some music, after listening to a couple of bands that were pretty shitty sounding they all decided it would be funny to start a band. The decision was not to be the best around, it was just about having fun. The original lineup was John Stalick on vocals and guitar, Chris Davis on bass and ass kicking, and Geno Ferrero on drums. After talking about having a band for a while Chris decided that he would actually get a bass and start playing. John and Chris jammed out for a while and finally Geno nutted up and bought a drum set. The first time that they actually played together was on January 16, 1998. This lineup stuck around for a while until Chris and John decided that they could not be together in a band. That is when Damon DeBernardi came in as a new bass player. At least Chris still would come down every once in a while to jam out with the old band. It was originaly decided that the band would be called Spin Cycle, but the name was already taken by some band from Europe. A name was not picked until about four months after the new lineup, and that is when we dicided to be known as 86ed, not eighty six "Ed", but Eighty Sixed. If you don't know what this means too bad, ask someone who does. The lineup has been going pretty strong, and has played some shows. The first show started out with an analy raped version of "It's a fact" by the Vandals. The show ended up turning out good after the stage fright went away. After some free shows at skate parks, one causing a black listing of all the members of Eighty Sixed and 3/4 Nelson. This came about after a beautiful cover of Screeching Weasel's "I wanna be a Homosexual". This caused some uproar with the community even though the song is P.C. Now all three members are living in Laramie, Wyoming attending school, drinking too much, and not practicing enough, but what are you going to do? |
