Good morning, it's one of those rare mornings i see of late as my "work", (i feel almost ashamed to use that word but i will indulge myself here), often keeps me out many hours of the night. This morning i got up early and completed my October calendar and i realized it was time to throw together a nice little thank you for last week's Klondike Quizzo benefit. So here it is.
I think of the many things we have taken from this tragedy is the realization that things will never be the same again...THANK GOD. Never before have i seen so many people band together for a cause; never before have i seen so many people so generous with their time, their money, and , most beautifully, their hearts; and never before have i seen people who are no longer afraid to laugh...or to cry.
Last Monday was one of the luckiest
nights of my life in that i was able to make people laugh when they needed it
the most and to be able to have them give of themselves without
hesitation... all by just doing what i love. Special thanks to Dan
Hardman for getting those great tee-shirts out, Ed Augustine and Klondike
Kate's for their generosity, our Quizzo girl Beth,
for going above and below the call with her constant runs downstairs for
collections, Dan my spirited co-host, Kerry Huston and Sam
Adams and of course, you guys! Thanks to your
generosity we raised over 2,000 dollars for the victims and families of the
tragedies of September 11th.
Thank you again, not only for your
generosity but for reminding me to laugh again as well.
