Europoint: Using NICT to foster European citizenship

"Europoint" has been a Comenius 1 project involving four European schools : the ISE Community College in Kettering (England), the Liceo Scientifico G. Berto in Vibo Valentia (Italy), the Gimnazjum Spolecznego in Milanowek (Poland), and the Grup Scolar "Mihail Kogalniceau" in Iasi (Romania).

Via email, students from different parts of Europe aged 13 - 15 have exchanged information about their geographical, historical, social and cultural background. The project mainly aimed at  raising awareness of cultural differences and similarities.

Project activities

At the end of  each school year, students, as individuals and/or in small groups,  produced  multimedia presentations in Power Point on A typical day at school and at home, Future aspirations, How particular festivals are celebrated in their country, An historical event, A description of local Geography, Local tourism, National Art, National Sport.
