He left me for another My heart in such despair I hear his music playing I see him standing there What foolish heart for thinking That he would always be The one to hold a perfect note With perfect harmony Tears I cry they glisten Upon the ivory keys Making my own music So sad these trilogies With love so sentimental How shall I now go on My heart is filled with music The joy of each are gone Shall I write the song now That one he won't forget Waiting for the moment To compose my sad duet The final note is written This composition rests The final page turned over I have no more requests. ~ Francine Pucillo ~ Šused with permission |
