In this year, Silvaticus was 28 years old and Marlenus was 27. In June the Battle of Bastro was fought. Tiberius, the son of Silvaticus, was born in Vlekstaad during the battle. Marlenus was raised from the dead as an elf; his age in elven terms was thus 294 years.

Ermerson, brother of Silvaticus, died this year of his wounds.

In this year, a demigod son was born to Silvaticus, on a desert island near Hepmonoland. Because of his nature, the son ages at three times the normal rate of mortals.


In this year Marlenus fought against giants attacking the town of (?? somewhere in the GK). The attack was eventually repelled. Marlenus killed the town cleric because he was evil. He became the town leader and while hearing legal cases he knighted the 11 year old Marcus (b. 20 Feb 629) son of Danner, for courage in the defence of his hometown.

In this year, Angus the son of Silvaticus was born on the same island.
Also, Marlenus discovered an island in the Azure Sea and named it Freeport. He spent the rest of the year building a small town and shipbuilding docks.

In this year the shipbuilders of Freeport put 30 warships to the water. In the fall, some of these ships were used to take over the Pomarj. In the spring of this year, Marlenus raised Athena the Paladin from the dead.

The Pomarj fell in the early spring of this year. During this year and the next, the Pomarj was cleared and its cities were restored. Veterans were settled and businesses were started.

In this year Freeport began making 48 ships each year, working at all hours. In January, the Sea Princes were defeated and the Kingdom of Southland claimed Jerlea Bay. Late in January, King Azuraz signed the Treaty of Niole Dra with Keoland. Then he immediately started work on castles and a temple, which work took this year and the next. In the summer the King created the Sanctuary. In December he outlawed slavery in the Southland.


In December also, Marlenus tracked down and hired Ruka. At this time also, the palace on Freeport was completed.

In the early summer of this year, Marlenus created the "Watchtower", a hidden underground place, whose location was revealed only to King Azuraz and Lord Lazarus.
In the second half of this year, the Wild Coast was reluctantly united.


646 January

The small walled town of Innsbrook is completed, constructed of stonee from the Drachensgrab Mountains.


King Azuraz began the Grand Restoration of the town of Fax.


The Kingdom of Southland opened trade with the Pomarj and the Wild Coast. The Pomarj breeds horses and dogs for purposes of war; and also secretly raised griffons in the Drachensgrab Mountains.

Lord Lazarus and his follower Drake started a militia in Narwell; preparations are begun in the Bright Desert to build two ports on the coast. The area in which these ports are located is named the Dragon’s Teeth eninsula.

Marlenus offered one million gold pieces for each head of any leader of the SPD.

February

King Azuraz hires Kaladar, a magic-user of renown, who is well versed in the ways of war.

March

An expedition from Fax leaves for Hepmonoland, with Azuraz and Lazarus.

June

The Wild Coast began combined Navy exercises.


647 May

The Southland claims a 120-mile coastal limit.

June

The Yeomanry is defeated. Lazarus gives Azuraz a map of an ancient underground tunnel system in the Jotens which aids Azuraz in his attack on Sterich in the following month.

July
Sterich is defeated.
September

Keoland cuts all ties with the Southland. Lazarus leaves Narwell and takes up residence in a castle in the Bright Desert close to the ports. A third port city is built. The first port is Lorios, the second Sela, and the third is Rejkalla. In this month also, Marlenus buys all claim to Fax from Azuraz for 1 million gold pieces.

December

The Great Kingdom recognizes the Southland. A system of tunnels is completed in the Pomarj by Marlenus’ engineers.


648 January

An ambassador is sent to the Great Kingdom from the Southland.

In January of this year, Azuraz and Marlenus open joint officer training in the Jotens. The Yeomanry is rebuilt following the war. Sterich rebels and is lost.

King Azuraz, casting about for trade opportunities, sends his son the Prince to Ratik, where a trade deal is made. In June of this year, the Southland ended its combat readiness, the Kingdom being at peace.

From the summer of this year to the end of the summer of 651, the Dreadwood Forest is cleared of evil creatures.

During this year and the next, engineers of King Azuraz reclaim much of the Hool Marshes. Southland traders in Ratik are attacked by humanoids.

In the middle of the summer of this year, the Davish River was opened to ships.


The Bone March Wars bring honor and glory to the Southland. Lord Marlenus writes with his own hand the History of the Bone March Wars, a true account of all that happened.

Immediately afterwards Ratik falls to Rugrat, and the Stonefist to Silent Thunder.

In this year Scorch the Barbarian was 31 years old, and King Azuraz was 41, being born in the year 612.


In March many adventures take place. Azuraz, Marlenus, Lazarus, Blackstar, Silvaticus, Rugrat, and Silent Thunder all combine to defeat their enemy, namely the Great Kingdom. The so-called Overlord is killed, and so is his child, but his wife lives. The Wand of Orcus is destroyed in the Hells. See The First Gathering.


On June 22nd, Silvaticus is called to the service of the goddess Ishtar.

Civil war starts in the Great Kingdom in the late summer.

North Province breaks off from the Great Kingdom.


654, January

Elfheim and The Sceptre & The Crown (The Second Gathering) March Because of their inability to protect themselves from criminal elements, Hardby and Urnst are taken over for their own protection.

June

Marlenus meets Inferana while taking over Dragon Mountain.
