The above picture is of the original art of his 2001 Topps Gallery card. It was purchased from the Topps company and came with a Certificate of authenticity. Geoff Jenkins Bio
Geoff Jenkins graduated from Rancho Cordova High School and moved on to play ay USC where he is second all time on the HR list only to the great Mark McGwire. Geoff Jenkins suffered through an injury-plagued (sore shoulder) 2001 season. After hitting a very impressive .348 with nine homers and 23 RBI in April, including five homers in a two day span. He batted just .240 with 11 homers and 40 RBI over the remaining five months of the season. If healthy, Jenkins is a likely .300, 30-homer, 90-RBI type player. He came up as an iffy fielder with a surgically-repaired shoulder, but he's become one of the best defensive left fielders in the majors. An aggressive, hard-charging flycatcher, his only errors are those of aggression.
