I come from a large family. I have three sisters; two are older, one is younger. I'm the third from the bottom of eleven children, the rest being boys.  I have a large number of nieces and nephews and also several great nieces and nephews. My family has been in Missouri for generations. We moved to Jefferson City, the state capital when I was about three and I went to the same schools with the same people from first grade all through the twelfth.  I even went to the local university for the first two years with my best friend.  Knowing the same people all through school was normal for me.  Most of my family still lives in Jefferson City.  Several who had moved away came back when they had families. We are spread from Connecticut in the northeast to Oklahoma in the southwest. I myself have spent my live straddling across what I like to call Mokan..  I grew up in Jefferson City the Missouri state capitol, which is two hours east of Kansas City. I went to university  at Kansas State which is two hours west of Kansas City.  Now I live in Kansas City, which straddles the Missouri/Kansas border.  Adventurous of me ah.
My best friends are David and Charles. I've Know Charles since university and through him I met David.  After haveing lived in Manhattan Kansas for about ten years I followed David to Kansas City.  Charles too moved here less then a year later. Two other friends I have from university are Brian now in DC and Lisa who lives in Lawerence Kansas.  I have been friends with these four for over ten years,  Newer but extremly important friends are Andy, Charles boyfriend, Charlie and his wife Alyssa, who were neighbors of David and I when we first moved to KC. Alma, whom I met through Charles, Mary, who just moved to Colorado, and a couple of married couples I've known sence I moved to KC; Christie and Dylan, also ex-neighbors and Alissa (whose name I never spell correctly) and her husband Eric, a former co-worker of a friend and her husband. As you can see I don't have a wide circle of friends when you add in people whom I know  and spend some non-work time with, but don't consider close friends I know about 20 people.

There are several people who in the past were good friends but whom over time I've lost touch with.  If any of you read this or anyone who knows them reads this please contact me.
From  my childhood by best friend from first grade through my first year at univerity is Steve. For years we  two together dreamed of studying at  Kansas State University. It has been years since we were close but I still miss him.

From my post university years in manhattan is Anthony.  He and I met when we worked the night shift together.  He later moved to the west coast and I lost touch with him.  I would like to know how he is doing and what he has been up to the last few years.

There are, I am sure, several others who have come and gone in my life but who left a mark . But right now none of them come easily to mind.  I will have to add them when I think of them.
