Brevard County Swing page

This was an attempt to compile information on the swing scene here in Brevard County. The scene has too few activities to make this page much worth updating. I would advise those looking for swing activities to check out the Orlando and Vero Beach links below. Hopefully, things will be looking up with enough stuff to make it worth my while to update the page again. Last Friday Swing
The Melbourne Floorplay Dance club hosts their monthly dance on the last Friday of each month at The Dance Center at 678 Wickham Rd. Melbourne. The club is primarily West Coast Swing, but they play for the crowd including some of the big band swing, country and some ballroom. Cost is $7 which includes a 1/2 hr. lesson at 7:30 PM by Laura Beers. Party is from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. No smoking, non-alcohol.

Third Friday Swing
The "Center of Dance" at 837 E. New Haven Av. Melbourne will be having swing dancing (West Coast, East Coast), Hustle and Cha Cha the 3rd Friday of every month from 9 - 12. Call 321-7271082 or 626-1888 for more info

Swing Dance
Swingsation's 14th Ave Dance Studio hosts a swing dance every Saturday night from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Cost is $5. A lesson is given from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If interested please e-mail them.

COCOA BEACH JAZZ FEST
April 16
The Cocoa Beach Jazz Festival is April 22 and 23 at the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach. Featured artists include The Cook Trio, Christian Tamburr and Swingerhead with Michael Andrew. Check the website for complete info.
