| Moldova substitute Serghei Dadu scored twice, including a late penalty, to salvage a 2-2 draw away to Georgia in a friendly international on Wednesday. The Sherif Tiraspol striker coolly converted his 82nd-minute spot kick after his club team mate Eugeniu Patula was fouled. Dadu, who came on midway through the second half, scored his first from close range to make it 1-1 in the 77th minute after Georgia goalkeeper Georgi Nikuradze failed to hold his initial shot. David Chaladze had put Georgia ahead with a 61st-minute header before another halftime substitute, Mikhel Ashvetia, put the home side back in front with 10 minutes left when he chested down a high cross and fired a crisp volley into the top corner. Both teams were missing several key players in a scrappy game, which served as a final warm-up before their respective 2004 European championship qualifiers next month. Georgia decided not to call up any of their regular players and gave debuts to Shalva Afkhazava and Georgi Nickuradze. Georgia, who are bottom of Group 10 after losing 4-1 to Switzerland in their only qualifier so far, host Ireland in a Group 10 match on March 29. Moldova, who are tied for last place with Belarus in Group Three after losing both of last year's qualifiers, visit the Belarussians on the same day.
