Luxembourg 0-3 Georgia
Burduli shoots
Demetradze, 19, 79
Aleksidze, 5
Georgia comfortably beat Luxembourg on Wednesday night despite fielding a weakened side. Real Sociedad forward Georgi Demetradze scored twice while Chelsea forward Rati Aleksidze bagged the other.

There were 700 fans at Luxembourg's Jose Barteli Stadium, and they saw the visitors attack from the start. After just eight minutes, PSV midfielder Goga Gakhokidze squandered a great chance to open the scoring.

Soon after, Demetradze's strike was parried and Dinamo Tbilisi's 21-year-old debutant Lado Burduli missed an open goal. The deadlock was broken on 19 minutes, as the impressive Demetradze beat two defenders before coolly beating the goalkeeper.

Luxembourg's only chance of the first period went begging when Gvaramadze held on to Manuel Cardoni's effort.

Georgia temporary manager Alexandre Chivadze made four changes at the break and Georgia were slow to regroup. But when Aleksidze took advantage of some slack defending in the Luxembourg penalty area to ram home a second.

Demetradze then saw a penalty, which was awarded after Rostelmash defender Otar Khizaneishvili was brought down, saved by Stephane Gillet. But three minutes later he made no mistake and scored to wrap up a good win.
