| There's a place for us Georgina, It's in God's caring land, Where everything is beautiful And all our lives are planned. There are no tears of sorrow, No mourning nor no pain, And God has promised us princess That we'll see you again. We know you're with the Angels, Your spirit is set free, So play on precious baby, And be good for dad and me. We loved you here so very much, Forgive us if we cry, We only want what's best for you, It seems it's up on high. Watch over us sweet baby girl As on earth we do roam. | He Only Took My Hand |
| Last night while I was trying to sleep My child's voice I did hear, I opened my eyes and looked around But she did not appear. She said, 'Mum, you've got to listen, You've got to understand, God didn't take me from you mum He only took my hand. When I called out in pain that day, The moment that I died, He reached down and took my hand And pulled me to His side. My search is really over now, I've found happiness within, All the answers to my empty dreams And all that might have been. I love you all and miss you so But I'll always be nearby, My body's gone forever, Though my spirit cannot die. And so, you must all go on now, And live, and understand.... | I'm going to tell you something I hope you'll never have to know. I'll tell you how a heart can break and tears can constant flow. I lost my baby girl you see, an Angel in my eyes God chose to take her hand one day and led her to the skies. But please do not forget my child she was a person too, And forever she will live inside of me and you. So, please don't ever tell me that time will heal my pain, Because not even time can bring her back again.
