On the 1st May 2003, the Empire Act 2003 came into force, resulting in the dissolution of the Germanian Empire. On the said day the Kingdom of Romanica (a Kingdom within the Germanian Empire) changed its name to the Kingdom of Vulgaria and created the Vulgarian Empire from the Colonial Territories of the Germanian Empire.
During May 2004 the Vulgarian Empire expanded, siezing many territories in Africa. In January 2006 His Majesty The King repealed the Empire Act 2003, dissolved the Monarchies of the former states of the Germanian Empire and re-merged the states into a reformed Germanian Empire. The Grand Duchy of Albertonia and Kingdom of Saxatonia have not been remerged into the Germanian Empire, as Alberonia became a dependency of Vulgaria following the overthrow of the Grand Duchess and His Majesty succeeded to the Saxatonian Throne following the Abdication of King Robert I. |

The law of Vulgaria is based on Royal Decree, Parliamentary Acts and the Common Law. Precedents of created by the English Courts are binding in Vulgaria, except where His Majesty declares otherwise.
The law is based on the principle of Crown Sovereignty, basically meaning that the King is the supreme law making authority. |

His Majesty is at present creating the Bill of Rights, which will establish a constitutional Monarchy Parliamentary Government. The King is keen to let the polititians to run the day-to-day affairs, while reserving the most important powers to protect the people and to watch over the Government in a Paternal manner. |

The Head of State of Vulgaria is His Majesty King George I. The King's official title is:
His Imperial Majesty, George the First, By the Grace of God, King of the Kingdom of Vulgaria and the Kingdom of Saxatonia, Emperor of the Vulgarian Empire and the Germanian Empire, Fount of Honour, Fount of Justice, Defender of the Faith, etc.
Before the enactment of the Empire Act 2003, the King's title was Germanian Emperor, although following is repeal His Majesty has favoured the use in His Majesty's current title. |

Vulgaria has a bi-cameral Parliament, the chambers are the House of Lords and the House of Commons. The Lords consists of Hereditary and Life Peers and the Commons Knights and Baronets. |
