The following is an email about these Benner families.

My maternal grandfather was John Rucker Benner who was born and died in Warrenton, VA. His date of birth was approximately 1898 and he died in 1993.

His father was Ulysses Benner (wife Annie Lee Rucker), also of Warrenton. Ulysses' father was John Benner of somewhere in Pennsylvania. He was in Virginia during the Civil War and decided he liked it so much there, he moved and settled there after the war was over.

I know all the the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of John Rucker Benner, but am looking to go backwards from him and find out more about his Pennsylvania roots.

This genealogy thing is new and interesting to me.
