Planes, Trains, and Camels
The following links are filled in from a journal that I kept during the trip.  Keep in mind that entries are my feelings at the particular moment, and not necessarily indicative of the entire trip.  I had a great time overall.

Hope you enjoy reading it, but be warned---some entries are long, while some are just filled with meaningless rambles.
Friends
...and those who accidentally found this page.  Enjoy, and thanks for coming along.

To all those that I met on the trip, and are now taking the time to check out the website, thanks for being a part of my adventure.  Know that you are now forever engrained into my memories of Egypt along with the great monuments that reside there.   (Although, it's still entirely possible that I'll pass by you on the street somewhere, and not know who the heck you are, but if you mention Egypt, I may feign recognition.)
Gersh aka "The Fly Flip" journeyed to Egypt in April of 2000, with a backpack, a camera, and a credit card.  This page is all about that trip and crossing off one of the numbers on life's to do list.

"Without a doubt, this has been the best trip ever.   I have met some great people from everywhere, and saw sites I've waited my entire life to see.  (That's a long time, cuz I'm such an old guy.)

It's great to be back, and I've developed a ton of photos.  I've posted my favourite ones on the
photo page.  I came back with about 270 pictures, and I don't have enough disk space to post them all. The photo in the background shows Chephren, Mycerinus, and one of the queens' pyramids.  Sorry for not including Cheops.

"Shouts out to everyone I met on this trip!  (England, Wales, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, Holland, Belgium, Turkey, Korea, Qatar, Israel, Germany, United States (Atlanta, San Diego, New York), Canada (Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Yukon, BC), and of course Egypt).

Enjoy the page and let me know what you think, and if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.
Where I was...Cairo, Luxor, Dahab and then back to Cairo.  Did the full round trip, but decided to miss Aswan, so that I could enjoy an extra day to visit sites in Luxor.
This is yet another reason to return, as there is just too much to take in, two weeks was not enough to see it all..
