Tips:
My engine buildup cost almost double than my budget cost = took longer to finish cuz had to save up more money, but I only wanted to do it once.
When disassembling the old motor, either keep bolts you take off labeled in a zip lock bag or back in the part removed if possible. Better yet, buy a new engine bolt kit.
When you take a your core in for a longblock build, keep your male oil filter thread adapter and oil pump rod.
