One of the world's oldest, non-partisan, non-denominational women's volunteer service organizations, the General Federation of Women's Clubs was founded in 1890. GFWC has built a long standing reputation by becoming involved in worthwhile projects, such as helping to establish over 75% of the nation's libraries, assisting in creating the National Park Service, and supporting the origination of kindergarten in our public schools.
