Gary Halls Page ***** Link to my home town

Originally from Mars Hill, Norh Carolina. I am presently living in Lattimore, North Carolina. I went to school at Ebbs Chapel Elementary School then to Mars Hill High School. I started playing music (guitar really) when I was 7 years old. My brother Edd at one time played rythm guitar for Webb Pierce, and he would come home and put his guitar up under the bed and dare me to mess with it. And when he left I would drag it out and mess with it. I watched him as he would play and learned cords from watching him. Soon I could make cords and put them together. Learned gospel music and started playing in church, Mom and Dad and myself, we all sang and I played the guitar. And as time went along played and sang at every school function. Then a friend ( Larry Boone) and myself started playing together and we finally formed our first country band. Larry and I played together the rest of our school years. I moved away and Larry kept going in music and so did I.

Together with the gospel, folk, country, and bluegrass background music has just become a way of life. Sure have enjoyed all these years playing music. I think music is the one thing that I do that I enjoy probably the most.

I met a lot of good people down through the years, local musicans that should have been super stars. There are lots of really talented musicans here in our part of the world. I have helped open the show for some really good stars, like McBride and the Ride, Hank Jrs. Band. For the past twelve years we have been the house band at Hoozers. Hoozers is a family owed night club, located on Pine Street between Pacolet and Spartanburg, South Carolina. Every Friday and Saturday night being special because of the people who come to listen...
