TITUS - this will be a modern-day adaptation of Shakespeare's bloodiest play, Titus Andronicus, set in current day Afghanistan, and focusing on his themes of the blurring lines between right and wrong. This is NOT a partisan love letter to either political party, but a look at just how little politics has to do with the reality on the ground. PLEASE NOTE: we're extremely interested in actors of Middle Eastern descent, and caucasians with "military" looks/body type/etc. Auditions will include scene readings from the script,
with prepared monologues strongly recommended.
CANNIBAL! the MUSICAL - Cannibal?! Cannibal is actually going to happen??!! Yessiree! The Ghostlight board of directors voted to continue ghostlight's crowd-pleasing Halloween spectaculars. Though the venue is TBA, the show will be going up right around Halloween, filling the slot of "Night of the Living Dead" and "Zombies". The script is written by John Sefel (from the film by Trey Parker & Matt Stone) and directed by Chrissy Coates & Ozan Haksever. Auditions will consist of a musical audition (if possible, please come prepared with an audition piece [at least 16 bars], with sheet music), a short movement audition, and cold readings from the script. Contemporary, comic monologues are extremely welcome, though not requred.
