Let me start with some back ground on this house. It was inherited by my friend Jimmy. The house was about 90 years old and had been built by his family. It was kinda like a shot gun shack in the way it was built. From the front door you could see through the living room, into the dinning room, and to the back wall of the kitchen. From the front bed room you could see through it into the bathroom, throught the second bed room all the way to the back wall of the last bed room. Yes, there was alot of interior doors.

Jimmy had always told me the house was haunted. He said that you could hear children playing in the dinning room in the afternoon sun. He also told me that his grandfather was scared to be in the house alone. Now this man was a prision guard for the state of Texas during the 50's and 60's, not the type of guy who was scared of anything. None the less he slept with locks on his bedroom door and a shot gun by his side.

The house was in a very small town. The type of town that you could walk to the store and leave your front door wide open.

I was babysitting for Jimmy not long after he got the house. I had my little dog Alex with me. It was a hot day but turning into a nice cool evening. I had got the baby asleep on a palet on the floor in the living room and went outside to sit on the porch swing. Alex was lying on the grass in the front yard not far from the steps that lead to the porch.

All of the sudden all the birds flew out of the trees. Alex stood up and all his hair went on end. He seemed to be watching something on the side of the house. As his eyes and head turned with the movement I could not see, he began to growl. Hi glare followed something from around the house and through the yard towards the steps. I then heard footsteps walk up the steps and walk across the porch in front of me. Alex's glare never left it and his eyes and head seemed to be in perfect time with what I was hearing. I then heard a female voice talking to the baby. I was so scared and had no clue as to what to do. I walked over to the screen door and looked inside. I saw the baby laughing and reaching up to someone I could not see. This went on for some time, I have no idea how long, could have been a minute, could have been twenty. Then I suddenly felt a very cold wind blow pass me from inside the house. At that point I ran inside and grabbed the baby and drove to my house about a mile away. I didn't even close the front door, I just ran.
