Our Story:

Who says love can't be found at a fast food restaurant?!....

In 1998, Greg and I had just gone through divorces wondering if we would ever find "that special someone".

At that time my friend, Stephanie, was living with me. Stephanie, Eliott(who is now Stephanie's husband), and myself were inseparable that summer. The two of them are very dear to me. Stephanie and Eliott gave me lots of courage to trudge ahead at one of the lowest points in my life.

One summer night the three of us decided that we were hungry and so we went through the drive-through window at the local "Krystal" restaurant. After receiving our food we drove back to the front of the restaurant so that Eliott could talk to two of his friends that he worked with as they were working security that evening.  Although I was in the backseat, one of the men caught my eye...It was Greg! Later on that evening I asked Eliott about him and he told me that Greg had recently gone through a divorce and was "down on women" and that was all that I needed to know. Eliott was being protective.

A few nights later, Eliott, Stephanie, and I went back to the "Krystal" to eat. That night someone caught Greg's eye...It was me! When he asked Eliott about me Eliott finally gave in and introduced the two of us. Thank you Eliott for giving in!! ~ Meeting Greg has made a huge difference in my life!

~ Greg and I being silly as usual! ~

The first time that Greg asked me out happened to be on a Wednesday night that my daugher, Ashley, was with her grandmother for a couple of hours so that they could go to church. I explained to Greg that I could go, but that it would probably be a "dinner only" night. Greg suggested that he order Chinese and rent movies for us to watch so that we could get both dinner and a movie in that night. ~ That is so like Greg, always thinking ahead! ~
I quickly called my mother to ask if she would keep Ashley just a little longer that night. (Thank you mom for helping out!)
Greg had rented two movies, but after eating and getting over our nervousness...we turned the first movie off because we were so deep into conversation that we weren't watching the movie. We talked for several hours non-stop that evening. Greg and I have since had many all night conversations, and now two years later we still don't run out of things to talk about or say to one another.

This past June 10, 2000, Greg and I celebrated being together two years and plan to be married real soon!

This is the special Guardian Angel that I adopted for Greg to watch over him as he protects others. Isn't he sweet?!
