About Mrs. M

As a college composition teacher, I make a big deal out of checking on source credibility.  So, I imagine, you may be concerned with the credibility of Mrs. M. My name is Diane Makar Murphy.  I hold a certification in Special Education and a Masters in Education.  Along the way, I also earned a BA in Journalism. For the last ten years or so, I have taught freshman writing at Youngstown State University as a member of their adjunct faculty.  I was also a columnist and correspondent for the local daily newspaper until a big strike sidelined that career! I began this website as part of a workshop I taught at my children's middle school.  Surprisingly, it began getting hits from students beyond the workshop.  I decided to add more content, and Mrs. M's Study Skills Page was born. If you Google my name, you will find a few links that should provide you with more peace of mind! Happy studying to you!
