Mission Statement
Our mission is to give hope and raise funds for the medical treatment of indigenous children in the Andes and may in the future global indigenous children suffering from a plastic anemia as a result of the pollution and environmental contamination caused my mining, oil drilling and pesticides.
A plastic Anemia is a: anemia that is characterized by defective function of the blood-forming organs (as the bone marrow) and is caused by toxic agents (as chemicals or X-rays) or is idiopathic in origin
Our specific aims include:
- To provide for funds the DNA testing needed to find matching donors
- To provide finds for blood transfusions for patients
- To provide funds for the bone marrow transplants
- To engage corporate sponsors for the medical treatment of particular children
- To secure sponsorship for the education of the effected children following treatment
- To raise awareness of the effects of transnational corporations operating in the Andes, specifically on the indigenous populations and surrounding environment.
