RESPECT

Before I go off on this subject, let me preface this by saying I have nothing against any fans. It's the fans that keep the boys going and giving them a job. And I appreciate and respect that.
But after reading the Rolling Stone article that the boys did, I have NEVER been more ashamed to be considered a 'fan' of the BSB. I totally am in the ideal that, yes, the guys gave up rights to TOTAL freedom the day they signed there record contracts, and that when they are in public, they are free reign. Autographs, pics, etc etc.
That's not what I mean. But when they are at home (which is rare enough) they are off limits. Plain and simple. At home, they aren't "Backstreet Boys" anymore. They are Kevin, Howie, Brian, Alex and Nick. People with lives that don't include fans.
It's one thing to drive by there house to take pics (even though it's odd) but when you hinder there personal lives, you cross the line.
Kevin is moving to a new house (out of his dream house) because fans are harassing him and not giving him any space.
Nick moved into a gated community to stop people from pestering his family (who moved out of state, but still) and now has 24/7 security.
And fans even risking Federal repercussions by taking Brians mail from his mail box!!!! WHY?!?!??!?!?!? I mean really. What do you get from sitting in front of there house/gate for hours on end? I mean, maybe seeing a silhouette across the window??
It's one thing to go to concerts, and buy BSB paraphernalia, but you don't buy a piece of them. You have no right to go to their homes unless you were personally invited. You shouldn't even know the exact location of where they reside!
Think about it from their point of view; you just got done touring, working hard, staying on the road away from your home and families. The first thing that's on your mind is your downtime and how to spend it.
You shouldn't have to think or worry about how many fans are blocking your driveway or surrounding your house. And neither should they!
Remember the Golden Rule, treat others as you wish to be treated? Please, use that.
