About Me |

After living and working in big cities all my life, many of my paintings are inspired by the sights of the small farming community of Fairview, which I now call home. Although I do some painting at my home studio in Fairview, many of my paintings are done in Boston, London, the Caribbean, and even as far away as New Zealand. The 1997 Fairview Show of the Arts was the first public display of my work. I was proud to win the First Timer Award, the Third Place Award in the watercolor category for my painting "Below Zero", and the People's Choice Award. That show moved me from hobby painting to the professional level, and I have since received many commissions to do homes, churches, barns, businesses, athletes, and pets. I am honored to have received awards at each annual Fairview Show of the Arts since 1998, including the "People's Choice Award" for each of those years, and at each Major County Free Fair since 1999. Thank you for your visit. Enjoy the paintings and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. |
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and moved to Fairview, Oklahoma with my wife, Paula, in 1993. I became interested in painting in 1995 at the age of 42. As an American Airlines flight attendant, based in Boston, I travel extensively, and my irregular work schedule did not allow for any formal art training. Instead, I got my instruction from books and observation only. While on layovers, I used hotel rooms on various islands of the Caribbean as my classroom to develop my technique. |
