This movie was a major marker of the late 90's, not to mention an imprint on all of film’s history. For those who fell in love with this movie–an action, philosophical, martial arts, romance flick–it was not just the break-through special effects or the symbolism or the big guns. More important than that were the characters. Under the deft hands of the screenwriters and instruction of the producers, these characters were brought to life by the talented actors who played them.
