When Altan
was born, he was born into a noble family of wizards. As he was
growing up
he was taught many spells and other arcane knowledge. He was being
raised to
take his fathers place as grand wizard of House Lertaniel was a
hard a
strenuous training, one day when he was returning from his studies in
the Elven
City near his family small town, he returned to a burned ruined
town and
only a few survivors from the corpses of the invaders its was an orc
attack, and
was confused how such a weak creature was able to take down one
of the
grandest houses of the Elven empire. When he found his father he was
too gone to
be helped, all he could do is get information from him before he
died. After
his family was killed off from the siege on the City-state, he
sought out
to revenge his family. He headed east after the large force, but
it seemed
that they were using some means of traveling much fasting then he
could go on
his horse. Tired weak and a battered torn up soul he had to give
up if he
were to live another day to fight them. He took what little money he
had a built
a small farm, kinda as a trap to lore these bands of creatures
that
attacked his home. At that his magic acts slowed and he became costume
to farming,
over time he became distant from the empire and was laughed at
for being an
Elven farmer. He started hanging around in taverns around Elven
cities,
listening for rumors of orcs and trolls, also made some extra gold
with a few
quests around town. One night he over heard a group of Elves from
Gilliandor
talking how they saw and dispatched a large group of orcs, but
what was
funny is the band of orcs had a strange number of mages with them.
It fit the
description of the group that had burn this town to ruin, so he
made his way
over to have a talk with them. As he learned more of the orcs
and even
more of Gilliandor, he became interested in joining the house. He
was told
that he was receive a letter on a date when to meet with Xzean. He
awaited that
day very impatiently, when he received the letter, he headed
over to
Gilliandor as soon as he was able. Leaving his farm to his human
slaves.
And that is
Altan Lertaniel's history till this day.
